Barron Deon Wilkerson was born July 16, 1963 to Alice (Pat) Wilkerson Robb and the late Eddie Wilkerson Jr. in San Diego, Ca. He was the second born of seven siblings. He recieved his education at Stockton Elementary and San Diego High Schools. Barron was employed at Nascco Ship Yard as a Fire Watch Laborer and also worked as a Construction Laborer. He was always on time to clock in and dedicated to his work.
Writing poems was his hearts passion. Barron affectionatly known as Bear was extremely family oriented. He loved and cherished his huge family as well as his enormous multitude of friends with all of his heart. He liked hanging out at parks, having barbecues, playing dominoes and listening to music. He was always the life of the party. He loved to dress, flirt with the women and wore a beautiful smile that lit up the room. His laughter became contagious.
Barron and Latania Chase were united in holy matrimony and from this union one son, Ricco Wilkerson was born. They were later blessed with a beautiful daughter Larissa Marks.
Back in the days Bear was known for his oversized afros. He loved to run the streets with his running buddy sidekicks his cousins Jay (Baby Bear), friends Kenny Moss, Kenneth Bearsey; Chucky and a host of others. Barron was always travelling to and from to his different aunties and uncles houses to party or help in any given situation. He was always right there to help move, set up, or clean up. Barron will truly be missed.
Barron Deon Wilkerson was preceded in death by his father Eddie Wilkerson, Jr., and ex-wife Latania Wilkerson.
He leaves to cherish his memories; son Ricco Wilkerson (Jessie Steen), daughter Larissa Marks, granddaughter Latania Wilkerson, mother Alice (Pat) Wilkerson Robb, three sisters - Patricia (Trish) Wilkerson, Shirley Bradford (Lonnie) and Andrea Wilkerson, three brothers Eddie Wilkerson III., Lamont Wilkerson and Landen Wilkerson, brother-in-law Neal Chase, a Special Friend Helen, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends.
