Beatrice "Beautiful" Thompson

April 20, 1925 ~ March 1, 2018 (age 92)

Ms. Beatrice D. Thompson was that light that shined bright in the lives of her family and anyone she came in contact with. Her infectious smile brought joy to everyone she knew and when she greeted you with her "Hi Beautiful", it melted your heart and made you smile. Her radiant beauty brought so much light and continues to reflect on all the hearts she touched throughout all her life here on earth.

Beatrice was born in Muskogee, OK to Eli and Naomi Davis. She was raised by her beloved grandmother Jenny Richardson whom she cherished and loved dearly. She graduated from Manual Training High School in Muskogee. After graduation she moved to Chicago, IL., then eventually settled in San Diego, CA, where she raised all of her children by herself. Ms. Bea genuinely displayed the true meaning of "Agape" love for her family. Her relationship with Christ was the only love that was greater than the love for her children. She taught her children about the Love of God, respect for others and that the lack of integrity, grammar and manners was not an option. Beatrice was employed briefly by the City of San Diego Police Dept, by the County of San Diego in the Social Security Department., and was also employed by San Diego City Advocacy Center before retiring. Beatrice enjoyed her music, and her SWEETS! Her musics genre was Big Band, Louis Jordan, Count Basie, and Marvin Gaye's "Got to Give it Up", just to name a few.

On March 1, 2018 God decided to call His Angel home. Her family was blessed with "Nana" for 92 wonderful and memorable years and decided to celebrate her life as opposed to grieving her passing.

Beatrice leaves to cherish her memory one son, Richard Javey, four daughters, Regina Thomson, Tina Miller, Gloria Miller (aka Glay), Mary Davis-McClung (Van), daughter-in-law Denise Bannerman; grandchildren, LaToya Miller, Jasmine Scott (aka Jazzy), Dorien Lee Davis, Anthony Marlowe, Alonzo Marlo, Anthony Javey, Marie Javey, Sahara Miller, Somalia Miller (aka Sam), Malik Jefferson, Nyree Bell-Javey; great-grandchildren, Malik Marlowe, Nevaeh Marlo, Braelyn Javey, Jayde Javey.
