Edward Johnson was born September 3, 1957 in Gainesville, FLorida to Edna Louise Johnson and Edward Johnson.
Edward attended schools in the Gainesville area and graduated from Eastside High School.
After graduation he relocated to San Diego, California. There he entered the workforce and became a skilled Plasterer.
In 1986 met and married Karen. Edward was a loving person and loved his family. He always had a smile and a kind word to say about everyone. He enjoyed sports, and being with family.
Edward departed from this earth on May 22, 2017.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Ceaser and Lula Danzy; father Edward Johnson; brother Paul Johnson; uncle Jeff Danzy Veita and Juanita Johnson; aunts ANell Jenkins, Inez, and Carrie Bell.
Edward leaves to cherish his memories wife Karen Johnson; mother Edna Johnson (Roger); adopted mother Mary Thomas of Fort Pierce, FL.; two daughters Tamanika Moore (Ronald) of Hemet, CA and Scherhonda Parker-Lewis (Eric) of Gainesville, FL; son Edward Johnson (Krista) Newberry, FL; seven grandchildren Ma’Kai, Jeslyn, Ja’koby, Newberry, FL, Skylar of Gainesville, Briana, Kiana, and Ronald III of Hemet, CA; two sisters Jackie Hart and Alnita Johnson Galloway; two brothers Tommie (Tony) Johnson Gainesville, FL, David Johnson Jacksonville, FL; two sister-in-laws Patricia White (Roney) San Diego, and Brenda Hart of San Bernardino, CA; two brother-in-laws Roylee Richardson, Vacaville, CA, Frederic West San Diego, CA; aunts Lottie Lewis and Mary Edith Danzy, Gainesville, FL, Doris Guthrie(Wilson), Shirley Mae Myers (Ernest), Hawthorne, FL; (close friends Vondell (DD) Cooper, Steve Cooper (Brenda) FL, Jerry Jones S.D CA, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be missed dearly.
