Faye Lee Dyer was born to Willie H. and Margretha Sheppard on November 27, 1929, in Naples, Texas. The family moved to San Diego, California, where she attended Point Loma High School. The family united with Logan Temple A.M.E. Zion Church.
Faye had two sisters, Ruby Dell Brown and Mary Helen Beans who preceded her in death.
Faye met and married Earnest Lee Gamble and moved to Carrollton, Texas, where three daughters, Margaret Watson, Peggy Gamble, and Earnestine Ivory were born.
Faye returned to California and worked in the nursing and homecare field for more than (40) Years in Los Angeles and San Diego.
She met and married Joe L. Dyer and they became involved with fellowship at New Creation Church under the leadership of Pastor Amos Johnson. Faye was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, who enjoyed cooking hearty and wholesome meals for them.
On Saturday, August 25, 2018, Faye was called from her earthly labor to eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Margaret Watson (Earnest), Peggy Gamble, and Earnestine Ivory of San Diego, CA; Grandchildren, Melvin Maxwell (Natalie), Stacie Watson, and Jonathan Watson, all of San Diego, CA; Sister, Judith Holley of Naples, Texas; Niece, Jerrie Crowder (Larry) of San Diego, CA; Cousin, Charlie Dickerson of Modesto, CA; and a host of great and great great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
