Gertie Valeria Storey Clemmons born on January 3, 1934 to Lucinda Moore and Eugene Storey, in Yazoo City, Mississippi. She was the youngest of three siblings. Gertie, affectionately called" Doodle Bug", or later in life "Trudy" was loved and liked by all.
Gertie didn't meet a person that she did not genuinely like or come to know. She was a choir member at Saint Paul Missionary Church in Omaha, Nebraska.
Gertie was also a basketball player at Yazoo High School. She was an excellent cook and part owner of a restaurant, with her husband James Clemmons III. She and her husband had ten children, Jimene Clemmons, Omaha, Nebraska, Frederick Daryl, Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Tiffiany Clemmons-Streete, San Diego, Reverend Kevin Clemmons, Raytown, Missouri, Karen Juline Clemmons McCrearry, Omaha, Nebraska, and Richard Eugene, Florida.
She greatly loved all of her children equally. Gertie was an excellent and outstanding person, friend, sister, daughter, auntie, and friend. We will surely miss her, cherish her awesome memories, laughter, genuineness, no-nonsense demeanor, and true love to others. We love you mommy, our confidant, friend, and queen.
