Reginald LaFell Clark was born on September 29, 1948 to George Handcox and Eula Jean Greene.
Eula Jean later married Walter Hill Clark and Reggie was adopted at the age of five by Walter Clark.
Reggie was the second oldest of six children. He accepted Christ at a very early age at Bethel Baptist Church under the late Pastor Charles H. Hampton.
His formal education was through the San Diego Unified School District and City College.
Reggie retired after many years with the City of San Diego and Cal Trans.
Reggie loved to play the organ and have all his siblings gather around to sing and have church at home. He loved clothing design. He would sketch, make the pattern and sew the garment. His sister Florence was able to wear many of the designs he created.
Reggie loved life and he loved people. He would always give an encouraging word by phone or text. Reggie instituted the family coming together in celebration of our mother’s life yearly.
On May 20th before the Lord called Reggie home he read: “We’re waiting for you, Lord, to come and take us home to be with you; your promise to return for us gives hope because we know it’s true.”
Later that morning, Reggie went to worship service at New Creation Church which he loved and there he was called to his eternal home.
Reggie will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memories; His oldest sister Ada Jean Edwards of Houston, TX., Minister Mary Flagg (Deacon Wayne), Henry Clark, Rev. Florence Moore (Deacon Billy) and his dear baby sister Jennie Rene’ White, all of San Diego. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
