Samuel Gale Monia was born June 1, 1957, in San Diego California, as the eighth child of Nathaniel Monia, Sr. and Annie Mae Morris Monia. His Family and friends knew him as “Sammie” or “Sam”. Samuel was educated in the San Diego school district and graduated from Lincoln High.
Samuel worked as a courier for twenty years, and was employed by the Unity Corporation. He was a movie buff and loved sports and was an avid Chargers fan. He was a family oriented homebody who cherished his privacy.
Samuel was a devoted brother and uncle; he was always there with a helping hand to his family and anyone in need. He was especially devoted to caring for his brother Herbert.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. He leaves to treasure his memory and thriving legacy to each of his sisters, Ernie Mae Rome, Myra Wilson, Della Mason, Dorothy James, and Carrie Dawson, brothers, Nathaniel Monia, Jr., Leroy Monia, Herbert Monia and Herman Monia, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
