n June 15, 1947 Wesley and Ora Mae were blessed with a daughter they would name Shandora Lewis, born in Donaldsonville, GA. As a newborn she moved to Newark, NJ with her mother. Sandi, which she was known as, received her formal education and graduation with some college and nursing certification New Jersey. She would go on to have two children, David and Traci, other siblings to them (Jerrod & Trina) all from New Jersey. In 1983 Sandi and her children would move to San Diego to reunite with her father. At that time she confessed her hope in Christ and was baptized at St. Paul’s Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Devonnie Morrow, Sr. Sandi also became employed at Harborview Medical Center as a dietician until she retired. She was a very loving, caring, and wonderful lady with a great sense of humor. Sandi loved to sing and was also a member in the church choir.
Sandi was preceded in death by her parents, and nephew Numan Rashad.
Sandi leaves to cherish her memories a loving brother Gary; her loving children, David, Traci, (Jerrod, and Trina), including Bobby (son-in-law); nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She had a bunch of great friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. S. Albert and Dr. Tram Le, Seaport Hospice, and the staff at Amaya Springs Brighton Place for the amazing love & care given to our queen Shandora (Sandi) Lewis. God Bless you all ...
Sandi will be missed and in our hearts Forever.
