Obituary

Alfred Frazier was born on August 25th, 1951 in San Diego, California to the late Noah and Willie Belle (Randle) Frazier. He was born a twin to Albert Frazier, who proceeded him in death at three months old, making Alfred the 5th and youngest child.

Alfred attended school at both Memorial Jr. High and San Diego High School. He was very active in all sports excelling mainly in baseball. He was also blessed with musical talents and spent time as a musician. He loved playing the drums, piano, and electric keyboard. Alfred decided to get into the nursing field and found a passion caring for others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. During his career, he cared for hospice patients comforting them in their last days. One of his biggest accomplishments was becoming Director of Staff Development. He was well loved and respected by his patients, their families, and colleagues.

He was an excellent cook. He loved to make food for his children and grandchildren by request. One of his favorite hobbies was to go fishing. He would round up his family in his white van and take them down to the Embarcadero and Seaport Village.

Alfred was married to his loving wife Karen, (who was affectionately known as "Tuttie") for 33 years. Up until the day he was called home they were together. Their union birthed a large blended family that Alfred proudly took on. He was like a "jack of all trades" to the family and being a devoted grandfather was one of his many roles. Alfred took pride in his family, and he will leave a positive mark on their lives forever. His family knew they could count on him being there, always taking care of things, and keeping the family together. These are just a few of the reasons why he will truly be missed.

On February 5, 2021 at 1:33 pm, after a brave 32 day fight with COVID-19, Alfred gained his wings. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers: Albert Frazier, James Frazier; and his sister Johnnie Mae Reaux. Left to cherish his memory are: his wife Karen E. Wilson-Frazier; his brother Ronald (Gladis) Frazier; and children: Alfredo, Aaron, Myisha, Takisha, Mahogany, Talai, Lorenzo, and Ellen. He will also be missed by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
