Ethel Inez Swenson was born June 4, 1953 in Ogden, Utah to Valeria Charles and Roscoe W. Swenson.  She was the youngest girl of seven children.

The Family moved to San Diego, CA in 1967 when Ethel was just a teenager and she attended O’Farrell, Jr. High. She later went on to get her GED.

Ethel married Oreal Belcher in 1969 and had two children from that union, Yalonda and Marcel Belcher. She then moved to Fairfield, CA in the 70’s where she met her second husband La,Mark Bell and they married in 1978 and had Markeeta Bell.  Ethel moved back to San Diego in the 90’s where she continued to raise her family. She was the rock of our family. Ethel was a very loving, caring, kind hearted person. A very amazing woman. She enjoyed being with her grand kids and family.
Ethel was also very active in her church where she was a member of Grace Unlimited. She also made an impact in her community, she was always willing to help people. Just an all-around stand-up woman. Ethel was always smiling and laughing. And she will be missed very much.
Ethel was called home on January 12, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Roscoe and Valeria Swenson, sibilings Michael, and Jack Swenson, and grandson Marcel Belcher.
